I’m the first to admit I’m a contrarian when it comes to the calendar. I think composers’ birthdays are the lamest classical music programming idea ever. I celebrate poetry from May until March.
So now that all of the expressions of thankfulness have vanished from Facebook, I want to take this opportunity to let you know that I am grateful for Joseph Reed, of Caketrain [a journal and press] in Pittsburgh. He also overhauled this Website and blog last June. He did a beautiful job, and went several extra miles, and for all of those things I am very, very thankful.
(I’ve never even met him in person but I hope to one day.)
