Someone Had to Take the Fall

Alice Quinn is leaving her part-time job of 20 years as the poetry editor of the New Yorker.

Can it be a coincidence that her departure comes on the heels of the magazine's decision to publish this poem by Joni Mitchell?

Yeesh.

You know what that poem needs? More rhyming. I was waiting to see what would rhyme with "electric scabs," and was left unsatisfied. Forlorn dribs and drabs? Shiny yellow taxicabs? A polluter who just blabs?
