Hymn of Thanksgiving

A planned trip to the country has been rescheduled. The stated reason: a forecast calling for cold and damp weather the next two days.

The unstated reason (until now): thanks to a harmonic convergence of Passover and Orthodox Easter, parking rules have been suspended today, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this week.

And so, while it is always nice to skip town for a few days, it would be irresponsible to give up a perfectly good space in which Louie may now rest undisturbed for TEN WHOLE DAYS. Passing up such a rare opportunity would somehow seem ungrateful to the parking gods.
